Since we have been busy here, working at Legentrust and NJD Graphics we haven't been able to sit down and show you things we would really like to! But, as people say, "Keeping ones nose to the grind stone means you ain't seeing much of the world". Yea, we know it isn't one of those memorable sayings is it?

Anyway, lest we digress more into useless witticisms, we thought you would like to check out a couple of sites, we think are somewhat thought provoking!

Language:

If you want to learn more of another's culture, we suggest a site called Palabea. It is here that you can learn another language quite easily! We were very impressed with the user interface, and the tools to start you speaking in another language are very easy! Americans who wish to travel abroad will find this site invaluable!

Helping others:
If you are in to helping people like me, but don't know quite what to do... Freerice.com is for you! For each word you guess the right, they donate 20 grains of rice throughthe U.N. World Food Program to help end hunger. Ten minutes of your time will keep someone fed for a day! That is a pretty cool way to fight hunger and increase your word power!

Montana's New Online Community

Before I say anything, else I wanted to thank the "Library of Congress" for sharing a wealth of Photos about Montana and History in general on Flickr! Most of the photo's of montana I found so far, were taken in the 1940's by “Lee, Russell", photographer. And alot of photos he took were in color, and in great shape.In the future, I will be having some great photos of Beaverhead County taken in the 1800's- today from a great little Museum I have the good pleasure of building a web site for called, "Beaverhead Museum", I am also working with the other museums in the state of Montana, So I will be talking alot about Montana's Great history in this blog from time to time, and throwing in some great old pics( from "Beaverhead Museum"), because the "Old West" just fascinates me.
Legendtrust.com is about 95% complete now, and open for business! We are very excited to get the site open for visitors at this time. Yes, we are giving away free one page websites to anyone doing business, or wishing to do business online in Montana. And because, we are expecting this site to grow, we are asking people to please email us at "administration@ legendtrust.com". We are staying away from building a form page until we have time to secure it against Spam! So we are working on coding a couple of captchas that will do the trick for the future!
You read all the stories in SEO Blogs about Backlinking, which is great if you are going at it alone, and there are thousands of ways that this can be done! But what SEO is really about is networking links with others in shared interests and geographic areas, and I believe it should work wonders for the businesses that wish to do commerce in Montana!!

From The "It's all Crazy Department"

So, have you ever had one of those weeks? I have, and it is not as pretty as I would like! More Like a Frank Miller Story if You ask me... But, I am the survivor none the less!
I'll explain the whole story sometime, But for now it's all about Legendtrust.

I had lost a Partner and, therefore about half the work I had up on the drawing boards got pulled down because I needed someone to write content, whilst I merrily toiled on the code and graphics! The new partner is learning the ropes, and for a time it means I can't run as fast as I want! So,we are working a bit slower and only time will till if we can infact have the whole site up in time! I not freaking though, we are handling the load slower, but quite nicely!

Believe it or not the FAQ's page is up! We have been working on the new free web content now! FAQ's and policy is for everyones protection, and we had the help of some legal wranglers to make sure the wording wasn't like another Language! If you plan to have a free site with us, please take the time to read what we are about! We really want to make sure people have a great time using the site content, and have a great fair shake in having their own free site!

Give us until, March 1,2008 to have examples of all the kinds of free site templates we have available! We are starting with about 10 templates and well put in more as soon as we are able! The Templates will be on both the wildmontanavacations.com site and the Marketplacemontana.com Sites! Both sites will start out simply because we don't really know how fast the sites might take off, but they will have search engine capabilities and people will be able to find your business quickly and effortlessly!

Fairvision has been alittle behind in getting its site up, because they have been in recording these last few days on two songs for their new album "OverCast", due out in August 08. And, so the site has been delayed until they get done, recording in Dillon Mt. which will be this weekend. You can still buy their current Album Debut "Fairvision," off their Myspace page, or Snocap.com So Enjoy, will start having things together soon enough!!!!!!

Yes, you guessed it!
We'll be changing the whole site around at Legendtrust.com!
We, haven't even got this particular site 90% finished yet and, we came up with a couple of Better, Grander Ideas for Montanan's!
What if we just gave away, some special web sites for Free!
That's Right Zip, Nada, Zero money down sites for people to start their Businesses on the Internet in Montana!
What if we, gave people elsewhere in the USA a place to go to find great Montana Products and Arts? What if we decided to throw in a great vacation and tour site as well?
Yes, we decided. We can do just that!
I think a drum roll is needed, but since I didn't bring the band "Fairvision".... I need to announce that Legend Trust has officially become a big part of Montana Legend itself, by helping give Montana Businesses, Sports , and Recreation web sites on the "World Wide Web" for free!!!!!!
There gonna have to put up one more "W" when we are done For "WILD"! So, get ready for Marketplacemontana.com and Wildmontanavacations.com!
Hey, wait a minute, there’s more! we still have a social network coming up on Legendtrust.com! That will be up on the site by the end of February, and maybe even sooner! depending on fast we, can move our bottom ends! So, Pardon the Dust folks, construction has officially started! Whats Happening at Legend Trust

Hi Everyone,
Legend Trust has been working to place a social network for Montanan's up! We figure it is needed to give Montana residents a voice about themselves and the wonderful state they live in. We will have all things Montana: musician, video, and profile pages and blog applications that are as easy to use as myspace, or facebook up and running, in about a two months! The service will be free for Montanans, and we hope our state population will give it a green light and use it!

I think it will be amazing to see how our fellow Montanans use the site! Cowboy prose, Horsemanship, 4H blogs, Montana Artists and Painters, Bed and Breakfast Blogs, Fly Fishing blogs, Cattlemen Organization functions, Elk's Club events, Personal Pages etc. etc.. It gonna be cool!!! Yes, we will be monitoring it closely for proper use of the site, but we are still working out Liberty and Safeguards issues and will explain them entirely, when the site is finally up !!!

In other news, NJD Graphics has started to present its presence on the web! I have finally found the time to put together a nice looking and easy css style site, but it will take till the end of January to get everything off the drawing board and onto the web!

Since most of you wonder, who I am and were I came from, I can tell you I was making websites when, Prodigy was the only Internet service, in the United States and Netscape was the number one browser 20 years ago! Times have changed now. A good designer has to spend at least a few hours of reading and implementing coding ideas daily to keep up!

"html", the simple code that started the Internet revolution, is giving way to Xhtml, CSS, Java, and Flash! There is PHP script, Ruby on rails, and Ajax making sites more interactive and harder to code properly! Yes, we have a standards board, working on making sure the Internet can be seen by any browser, but even Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7 will have problems picking up some sites properly, until IE8 arrives(I Like IE7, but I also use Firefox! its a great alternative browser to have in your computer)!

Yikes, no wonder I am beginning to feel like a geek! Yeah, I am gonna find some time to just wander around in the cold and snow(playing with my dogs outside more). I guess it is part of a couple of new year resolutions I have promised myself!

Well, 2007 is now the stuff of history. I got a gut feeling that there will be a rash of changes, we may or may not like in the United States, or the rest of the world! But, that's for our other blog that hasn't been named yet!

Web design: How you make it simple, yet Interesting to your Customers

Hi folks, My name is Norma Duffy and I am the webmaster of http://www.legendtrust.com/.

Yea, that sounds like a grand name, "WEBMASTER". But, in reality all I do is organize your stuff and put it on the web.

I, will be explaining alot more of about ouselves in these blogs, so I hope you enjoy

the information, plus some sillyness that is bound to occur here!!

What I try to do is make a website presentable to your needs, and flat darn gorgeous! And, my fun in getting it there,

is making your Product, Life, and Ideas pleasing to the eye and enjoyable to the public at large!

That is the simple Idea, and I believe it works! I enjoy what I do, it is interesting(except when I'm coding pages), and I like

people! So all in all, it is a great job, and adventure!

I usually will be the first person you will meet, when your looking

for media that includes website design! It is my job in helping you come up with the first ideas on how you want to Market yourself and goods!

I am pretty good, at figuring out, how to start your media campaign in the right direction! Putting together Print and media kits is my speciality! Helping you with demographics of your future clientele and treating you like a star in the process! If you need a website, I try and ask you all the right questions on how you want your web site to perform!

The Meeting!

When I get together with a client, it is my hope that you already have an established idea, for your site!

You have to convey to me what you want to see on your page(s).

1.Think of websites as a Magizine article with photos, or a storybook with pictures! Your story of your self,

and your business will always be interesting to your readers, if you just be yourself! So make sure all your

presentation material is ready and handed over to the web designer for the process to begin!

2. How many pages your website needs, depends on the contents you wish to have others examine!

Photos, discriptions of what you provide as a service, and why you pride yourself in that service are interesting!

But, pick the best speciality you do to present first and foremost!

3. Money! What are you willing to spend: I bring this up because if you need a lot of your stuff presented on the

web, it costs you more! Short and sweet, is the best course! At least to get your site up and running!

Not because it will cost you less, but because people surf the web(It's kind of akin to bar-hopping).

We must capture that person for a short time frame, and with in that time, and

prove they need your services, or they might wander off.

4. When I build your web pages I write the code sparingly. Why, because your site will come up quickly, and so will the other pages in it.

You might own a DSL connection... DSL might be everywhere, but the customer surfer, still might be using a dial-up connection, or an older computer.

We put your site up to inform and entertain the future customers your looking for quickly no matter what they use as a portal to the web!

5. Lastly, Be patient. A good site comes with interaction between your web developer, and you!

This sounds simple, but my job is to "walk in your shoes and then transfer that experience to web pages!
